The Southern Indiana/Kentucky Chapter 47th Annual Meet will be held at Rick and Susan Crawley’s home, 6062 Logansport Road (old 24), Logansport, IN, Sunday, August 15, 2021, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. This meet will be held outdoors. Bring a dish to share, your Hudson or other collector car and lawn chairs. The Crawleys will provide the meat and drinks. They will display all of their collector cars. We will have our annual election of Officers and a business meeting. Crawley’s home is located 3 miles east of Logansport on old 24 (now Logansport Road), 8 miles west of Peru. There is a big yard, plenty of parking, shade and trailer parking. There are inexpensive hotels in the area. If you arrive on Saturday evening, plan on meeting at Rick and Susan’s by 6:00 PM for a Saturday evening meal. The Northern Indiana Chapter hosted the 1971 HET International Meet and the Chapter was founded during 1971. Warren Fluttrow, a founding member, will host a meet. at the Monroeville Community Park, 421 Monroe St., Monroeville, Indiana to celebrate this milestone event. The meet starts at 10:30 AM EDST with a carry in meal at noon. Please bring a covered dish. Plates, silverware, and drinks provided. The shelter is air conditioned and Masks required. If possible, please drive the Hudson that was at the 1971 International meet.

The Southern Indiana /Kentucky Chapter invites you to its Fall Meet at the home of Marcia and Tim Lloyd, 3150 High Point Lane, Bloomington, IN 47401-9605. Scenic Bloomington is home to Indiana University and is located 50 miles south of Indianapolis. The fall colors will be beautiful. Come any time after 10:00AM EDST to Tim and Marcia's house for a noon food truck lunch, tire kicking, visiting and a short Business meeting. Tim and Marcia have a very large garage and ample parking. Please bring your Hudson, lawn chairs and lunch money. The hosts will have two food trucks available for you to buy your own lunch or you may bring your own lunch. For this year’s Business and Planning Meet we will return to Smokin’ Gold BBQ, at 5364 Lawrenceville Highway, Lilburn, GA 30047, where we will be welcomed by owners Dan and Laurie Dieterle.

At noon we will eat in a reserved area in the restaurant. Order lunch from the menu and pay individually. As usual, the meeting will include discussion of old and new business, and election of our chapter officers for 2022. The Nominating Committee will present a slate of candidates for election, but nominations from the floor will also be solicited. A listing of proposed meets for 20221 will also be presented.
This meet will be held at the Golden Nugget, 2300 S. Casino Drive, Laughlin, NV 89028 (800)950-7700. To get the preferred room rate make sure to make reservations before October 10th, 2021, use group name “Hudson Car Club”. The preferred rate is $64/night for a standard room (price good for Friday & Saturday). Sunday’s room rate is $32. First night’s room and tax will be charged at time of reservation. 48 hour cancellation policy applies.
We will meet in “The Little Round Building” and maybe (depending on the status of pandemic restrictions) also in the adjoining pavilion in Hammond Park.

We will assemble and kick tires at 11 AM, with lunch being served around noon. The chapter will supply a box lunch with (non-alcoholic) beverages. We have to vacate the area by 3:00 PM. An RSVP will be required so that box lunches can be ordered as necessary.
