2022 Western Regional Meet

Description

The meet will be held at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham, Hotel and Convention center, 1809 Sugarland Drive, Sheridan Wyoming 82801 (307) 218-2076.  Hotel rate for the Hudson club is $129 a night. Secure your room reservations directly with the hotel. Let them know you are with the Hudson Club.  Send banquet and event registration to Phyllis Riggs at 8549 NW Skyline Blvd, Portland, OR 97231. Banquet menu;  BBQ Bar $35 per person; BBQ Beef Brisket, BBQ Chicken Breast, Pork Ribs, Baked Beans, Petite Corn On The Cob, Cole Slaw, Corn Bread, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Iced Tea, Coffee and Decaf Coffee

Please make reservations for the Banquet, and your room by June 1 2022, in order to secure the Hudson rate.  For late reservations, the best Western Sheridan, 612 N Main, Sheridan 82801 will match the Ramada Inn room price if rooms are still available 

 Agenda:

  • Thursday June 23; Trails End mansion and grounds tour.  The Brinton museum, which is a fabulous museum of western art, and displays of the American Indian. Free! They have an inexpensive bistro if you want to have lunch.  Explore beautiful downtown Sheridan's Historical District with antique shops, bronze statues on every block, 3 micro brewery's, western wear, and the world famous "Kings Saddlery", which is a museum in itself!  And "The "Mint Bar" which is a must see!  The Sheridan Inn Hotel built and ran by Buffalo Bill Cody.
  • Friday June 24; Cruise to the Frontier Auto Museum, 205 Ross Ave , Gillette, Wyoming. (307) 660-2402.  After the museum, your choice: Devils Tower tour, Coal mine tour, Buffalo Ranch tour
  • Saturday June 25; Tour of Fort Phil Kearney, and Fetterman battlefield.  Sheridan and  nearby Johnson County are awash in history; Butch Cassidy and The Sundance  Kid hideout at "Hole In The Wall",  Johnson county Cattle wars as depicted in  the movies, "Shane and "Open Range" with the battle scared TA ranch, which also serves good food., Bozeman trail which let to Chief "Red Cloud's War".  Many battlefields between the Sioux and Northern Cheyenne tribes and the U.S. Calvary. Little bighorn Battlefield 72 miles away, Rosebud battlefield 42 miles away (which was larger than the Little Bighorn battle).
